Directors

      HI!!! We are Jayme (on the top) and Jess and we are sisters!! In 2021 we made a life long dream a reality, when we became the owners and directors of Serendipity Dance Company. Originally, we're  from Burley, ID where we both began dance at an early age! We have a love and passion for dance and together we have MANY years of experience! 

In High School, Jess had the opportunity to participate and have rolls in several company productions including The Nutcracker, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera, and Anastasia. She is trained in ballet/pointe, lyrical and jazz. Her heart is in ballet but just loves to dance period! After Graduating in '03 and moving Logan, she attended and graduated from Costemetology School. She and her husband were married in '05 and currently live in Richmond. Jess's most favorite thing in life is being Mom to three awesome kiddos. Aside from spending time with her family and SDC , she also enjoys doing hair from home, being creative, morning walks, teaching High Fitness with her sisters, and dance parties in the kitchen!! 

 After graduating from high school, Jayme became a member of the Utah State Aggiettes and really enjoyed her time there! Throughout her dance career, she has had the privilege of working with several renowned choreographers, including Jason Celeya, Malece Miller, and Rosero Mccoy. Jayme's favorite styles are jazz, contemporary and hip hop! In 2019, Jayme graduated from Paul Mitchell as a licensed esthetician, and was married in 2022. She and her husband recently became parents to a beautiful baby girl and being a Mom has quickly become her favorite thing in the world! Aside from soaking in all the baby snuggles, and dance, Jayme loves to do anything outdoors, and has recently rediscovered her love for reading. Give her a good book, and she can read for days! 

Dance holds a special place in both our hearts, and it makes us so happy teach and watch our dancers grow a love and passion for dance, while experiencing the joy it can bring to your life. We strive to make Serendipity a place where dancers can feel loved, and confident in who they are. A place where they can learn to work hard and accomplish their goals. Jess teaches our sweet Tippy Toes, Tiny Stars, and Princess Company classes as well as our Minis Competition Team.

      Kami has always loved dancing and the only thing better than dancing herself, is teaching dance.  She loves to see dancers grow and learn and gain confidence.  Previously, Kami taught dance at the Lehi Legacy Center and then from her home in Lehi.  After moving back to Cache Valley she signed her daughter up at Serendipity dance and fell in love with everything the dance company stood for.  As soon as she could,  she became a dance instructor. Kami grew up in Mantua, Utah, and danced for Jazzettes and later Infinity Dance in Brigham City, where she competed jazz, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, and tap. She went to Utah State University and took every dance class she could manage and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Bachelor of Science in History. She is thrilled to be able to teach dance to so many great dancers and looks forward to many more years!

Kami teaches our Blaze Competition Team, as well as our Dazzlers Technique class. 

     Hey Everyone! I’m Lori Caley. I grew up in Utah and live in Cache Valley with my husband, our 4 awesome kids, 2 dogs and a bird. I love being with my family, reading, and spending time with friends.

Dance is my passion and I love it so very much. It’s an honor for me to teach! I truly and am so grateful to be here at Serendipity. I have danced since I was three years old… so a long time ago. Let’s just say I’ve been dancing for at LEAST 36 years. ;)
I’ve taught dance classes to youth and adults in Cache Valley for over 15 years. Also, I’ve danced and performed in an adult modern dance company as well as received my minor in Dance from BYU. I love all genres of dance- but have had the most training in ballet, contemporary and jazz. I danced on many comp teams growing up - and Drill Team in high School. I also grew up dancing with a ballet company in which I performed in the Nutcracker several times, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella as well as lots of musical theater productions and plays. I love to choreograph and I have been working with several of our team soloists for years. I have choreographed for many different plays and school productions here in Cache Valley as well.

Again, dance is just so fun for me, and the exact outlet I need. If you’re not dancing with us yet, you should come try!

    Hi Friends! My name is Camilla Darrington! I am so excited to be a part of SDC! I have lived in Cache Valley my whole life and I love it here! I have danced at local studios, and was a member of the Sky View Vistauns! I love dance and cannot wait to teach! I currently attend Utah State University and will graduate with a degree in human development and family studies. Dance has been a huge part of my life, and I am so thankful for it! I will strive to create confident, talented and kind dancers. I am so excited to get started! Go SDC!

Hey hey! I am Makayla Ward, I'm 20 years old and LOVE to dance! I moved to Utah, after high school, from a small town in Central Valley California. In my free time, I enjoy exploring all the outdoor adventures with my high school sweetheart, and Golden Retriever, Prince!!

I started dancing at the age of 3 and started competitive dance at 6. Most of my dance experience was at Denisa's School of Dance, a small family studio with the same love and passion Serendipity exhibits! I also had elite level training and competed with Murrietta Dance Project in Southern California for a few years. I am trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, cheer and hip hop. I love to let the music move me when I choreograph so that tends to make my favorite style of dance constantly change!  

This will be my third season teaching with Serendipity and it truly is my favorite placce to be! I feel so blessed to get to share my love of dance with ourdancers and watch the joy on their faces as they become confident in not only the skills they learn, but more importantly, themselves and how amazing they are! I can't wait to dance with you this year!!

Hello! My Name is Cara Short, I am thrilled to be part of the SDC team. I grew up in Sandy Utah, and attended Hillcrest High school. I started dance classes at the age of 3 and dance has been a part of my life ever since. I love all forms but especially jazz and contemporary. In middle school and throughout High School I had the opportunity to be a member of the Dance Co. My senior year I won best choreography. I also was a cheer and song leader all 3 years of high school and won a national championship in song leading (dancing) my Jr. Year. I went on to teach group fitness classes and at dance studio in Taylorsville, and for 5 years I was the song leading head coach at Hillcrest High School. I am also a dental hygienist and will remind all my dancers to point their toes and floss their teeth.

 I have been married to my best friend and high school sweetheart  Jordan for 15 years and we have 3 amazing daughters. We live in Cache Valley just because we love it here.  I love spending time with my family, working out, being outside, trying to golf, and Diet Mountain Dew. And I truly believe that every day you get to dance is a great day!

Hi Friends!! I'm Rylee Kvarfordt! I am so excited to be a teacher here at SDC! I have lived in Cache Valley my whole life, danced at a local studio, and was a member of the Sky View Drill Team! I am currently in nursing school and am loving it! I am passionate about technique, confidence, and working hard. I want every dancer to leave my class feeling confident in their abilities, and knowing that they are so loved! I can't wait to watch my dancers grow!! See you in class! Go SDC!!

I'm Alycia and I am so grateful to be a part of Serendipity Dance! Dancing and teaching are both things that fill my cup and bring me joy. My love of dance started when I took tap as a 5 year old. The teachers ended up putting me into the 7 year old class because I was so diligent in practicing and learning the choreography. Throughout my elementary years I participated in drill team camps and danced whenever I could. I began formal ballet training at the age of 10. My teacher had recently retired from a professional Russian ballet company and started her own studio. Within 6 months I earned a full scholarship and attended as many classes as possible, I loved it so much it was the only place I wanted to be. Before my 12th birthday I began training for pointe and soon after began teaching classes. Helping other dancers become confident as their technique improves is a passion of mine! I started gymnastic training soon after and loved my job teaching both throughout middle school and High School. I started learning other forms of dance and was on my High School dance and gymnastic team. Once I went off to college I took ballet classes every semester I was at BYU including pointe. My family and I absolutely love living here in Cache Valley! My husband Gabe and I have 6 kids from the age of 17 down to 3. Five of them are boys and our only daughter dances with Serendipity! I also have had my own photography business for the past 15 years. Life is full but beautiful and I wouldn't have it any other way!
